Lost In Heaven Extrait de Parfum

Lost in Heaven depicts a series of dreams in which an adult finds themselves lost in paradise.

It captures the complexity of feelings that convey both a longing for a place of unspoilt innocence and unconditional love, and the inevitable and conflicting burden of life, made up of feelings of sin and guilt—whether real or, worse still, imagined.

This dichotomy, found deep within the soul of every person, is portrayed by a selection of the most angelic notes: beautiful orange blossom and jasmine absolutes, alongside soft heliotrope, gentle sandalwood, sweet tonka bean and many other notes I consider heavenly.

The darker side is conveyed in a much more subtle way, not immediately detectable, through cumin and other spices, and a wide selection of animalic notes, including a reconstruction of Tonkin Musk.

I thought of calling this perfume ‘Feeling Good’, as that is its purpose: to make you feel as though you are in paradise, not a false, imaginary one, but a real place where you finally face your darker side, with the heavy baggage you carry with you.

Delicate, emotive, though technically not sweet, it reminds me of a cake, rich in spices and scented with orange blossom: not haute patisserie but the archetypal smell of a cake made by Mum, with only good things in it.

This is an extrait de parfum; use sparingly as the concentration is 25%.

It has excellent longevity (an average of 12 hours).
